hi:
I have tried to use Aspell Spanish dictionary to check my spelling. I use
Texmaker, it seems to function correctly except for Tex command in general,
I would like to know if there is a way to make aspell recognize Tex
commands, any help? thanks very much

Aspell has a tex filter mode that is supposed to recognize many
TeX/LaTeX commands, though you may have to customize it to recognize
some of your commands. I don't actually use Aspell myself, so I can't
tell you how to configure it, but check the Aspell docs -- google "GNU
Aspell" and click on the Manual link. You should see some references to
TeX/LaTeX in the table of contents under "filter modes" (or something
like that).

Actually, I lied -- I *do* use Aspell myself (I'm constantly mixing up
Aspell with Ispell). You can invoke the tex filter mode either from the
command line ("aspell --mode=tex"), via a configuration file (a file
called .aspell.conf that I *think* should be located in your root Aspell
directory, containing the line "mode tex"), or via an environment
variable (ASPELL_CONF with the value "mode tex"). See the docs if you
need to customize the TeX/LaTeX strings that it ignores.
